most hated player: king james

king james has done it again, and pissed off sports fans everywhere. i think it is fair to say he’s one of the most hated players in the game! but why? Why do people hate him so much? I will admit that the way he announced his decision to go to Miami was tasteless and an amateur move but people have done much worse and we have gotten over it.  But I guess that is the price you pay for being one of the greatest, people hold you to different standards and remove from the human category. Basketball is Lebron’s career, his job, his livelihood, how he makes a living…got it? So why would he not go to a different company if it meant greater success and a potentially brighter future; like everyone else Lebron wants to grow and get as high up as he can in his career. Yes, Cleveland is his hometown and he lived a dream playing for the home team but guess what he hit a wall his career was plateauing he had every right to pick up and leave so that he would have a shot at a championship…and shocker he got just that! He was not obligated to stay in Cleveland for the rest of his career or until they won a championship. How many people would stay with a company that did not provide room for growth because of “hometown loyalty”?  How many people would turn down the opportunity to work for a company that would take your career to the next level so that you could achieve personal goals? Did you know that he took a pay cut coming to Miami? Again, the way he announced it was beyond lame but it was a good decision, it was the best decision for him, his family and his future! What really gets me is the man is good he plays his ass off…he really is one of the greatest but for some reason he gets knocked nonstop. Hate the dude if you want, say he is tasteless, has no morals, is not loyal…but do not knock his game he is a proven MVP.  It is like Mr. B.I.G. said “More Money More Problems!”, if you are making it people find it much easier to throw rocks at you…but at the same time if people are talking you are doing something right. And it is not like Lebron was just handing the money, cars, houses, rings, and MVP title…he earned that shit so play on player! I appreciate a good success story, it proves a great point that if you work hard, give it all you’ve got, focus on your dreams it is yours for the taking.  I think Lebron is making a good decision by opting out of. My only hope is that when Lebron James does decide on a team he does make it a stupid production like he did last time, it is just not necessary! However, since only 5 teams outside of the Miami Heat can actually afford Lebron it takes some of the guess work out of it for us. So where to Mister James: Suns? Mavericks? Jazz? 76ers? Lakers? Given his lifestyle and desire to win my money is on the Los Angeles Lakers; a franchise with a legacy, money, potential, and hot weather in a celebrity filled town. Or maybe the Heat will step it up and give Lebron more money and he will stay in Miami and try for the 2015 Championship!
